WOMEN IN LEADERSHIP POSITIONS AND THEIR RELATION TO POWER
COORDINATIONHUB WOMAN AND ECONOMY PROVIDES AN EXCHANGE
LÜNEBURG / HANNOVER. What brings women to the top and how attractive is power? These questions were discussed at the high-profile panel of management motivation of the coordinating hub Woman & Economy Lüneburg in late June. The focus was on the different motivation factors. Also present was Dr. Kisro-Warnecke, Managing Director of Dr. K&K ChinaConsulting.
What is the role of power, status, influence – besides competencies, conditions and ambition and what are social conceptions, that differently evaluate these factors according to gender? Discussing these issues were six women in management positions of various industries in Lüneburg. The discussion showed that many women find power positions are unpleasant, and rather not grasp the opportunities of design possibilities. The panel discussion showed different experiences and ways of life of women, who were united by the will of change. It was emphasized by all actors, that the decision to take on managerial responsibilities in various facets, has paid off.
This was organized by the coordinating hub Woman & Economy, which offers networks, advisory services and education for women. In the evening event, the focus was on leadership positions, power and women in management.
The manager of the Hanover consultancy Dr. K&K ChinaConsulting, Dr. Kisro-Warnecke was a member of the panel discussion: „To develop new ideas, implement and establish organizations – that’s my personal drive. However, it also includes a high self-motivation to do so, if you go with bold and new things or not yet established ways – but above all, the ability to get up one more time and not stay down. For me, that is independence. „
