5. Sino-German Environmental Forum in Nanjing – Impressions of the conference

NANJING. 04.20.16. Offside the official talks of the conference in Nanjing, I am hearing about intense negotiations on the executive level in the CPC. The party is aiming to gain more opportunities and time to reestablish its influence on companies operating internationally – in order to increase their activities with respect to environmental topics.

NANJING. 04.20.16. Right now, the closing words of the 5. Sino-German Environmental Forum are being spoken. The plans of the Chinese side seem ambitious. Together with members of the German delegation, they are presenting specific projects and measures for sustainable and inclusive growth. Top priority for Beijing is the elimination of motor vehicles ejecting harmful pollutants and the limitation of production times of industrial factories. – Dr. Diana Kisro-Warnecke

NANJING. 04.19.16. Visiting the 5th Sino-German conference about inclusive and sustainable growth in Nanjing with the German Minister of Environment – Dr. Barbara Hendricks, I am hearing many voices talking about the massively limited internetspeed and increased daily numbers of homepages without access – hopefully, this is not going to be the next bottle neck for Chinas ambitious growth plans, besides environmental topics.

NANJING. 04.18.16. The registration for the 5. Sino-German Environmental Forum in Nanjing (China) will begin shortly. The German delegation led by the Federal Minister for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety, Mrs. Dr. Barbara Hendricks, is visiting Nanjing to attend the conference. The subject of this years conference constitutes an update for previous talks and centers around the question of how inclusive and sustainable growth can be achieved. Challenges and opportunities of the implementation will be discussed. Especially intriguing to follow will be the suggestions of the Chinese government officials. Proposed measures to reduce environmental hazards would mean harsh interventions. The conference will be officially opened at tonight’s welcome-dinner.
